Carlos was born in Lisbon,Portugal. Studied Funk,Soul,PopJazz ,Big Band,Afro Cuban,Brazilien Drums and Percussion in New York City,Rio de Janeiro and Dolo,Italy under names like Max Roach,Kenny Washington,Lewis Nash,Paulo Braga,Duduka da Fonseca,Portinho,to name a few. Played,travelled and recorded with some of the most representative musicians in Portugal,like Mario Laginha,Bernardo Sassetti,Carlos Martins,Carlos Barretto. He can be heard,for example in the first two CDs of Maria Joao. Teached Drums and Percussion at the Hot Club Jazz School of Lisbon. Has been playng all over the world in countries likeSpain,France,Switzerland,Ireland,Italy,Belgium,GermanyUSA,Brazil,african countries like,Angola,Mozambique,Cape-vert,South Africa,China,Hong Kong,Macau. He also played at at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong Central,Jz Club In Hangzhou,FHI Club in Wenzhou, Island Shagri-La,Hong Kong and the Four Seasons also in Hong Kong.
